The Amtrak Berkshire Flyer is a seasonal weekend train that runs from Memorial Day to Labour Day between New York, NY, and Pittsfield, MA, with several intermediate stops listed in the Berkshire Flyer schedule section. Ticket sales often start in March. The train takes you out on Friday and returns you on Sundays.

Amtrak Berkshire Flyer Accommodations
There are two seating accommodations for this train.
Coach class
- Fold-down tray
- Individual reading lights
- On the wall are 120v grounded (three-prong) electric outlets.
- There are overhead and storage racks at the end of the car for storing your luggage.
Business class
Business class offers many of the same options as coach class but includes extra legroom and other perks like a 25% bonus on Amtrak Guest Rewards points.

Bikes
Carry-On/Trainside bicycles: you can bring up to 50 lbs. Standard bicycle sizes apply. Maximum tire width: 2”. Check the link for details; bike service may not be available at all stations.
Pets
Amtrak allows dogs and cats up to 20 pounds (combined weight of pet and carrier) for trips up to seven hours. Spots may be limited and make sure you read the Amtrak pet policy before booking,

Shuttle & Bus – from the train to where you want to go!

There is a shuttle service to take you those last few miles from/to the Pittsfield Intermodal Center (Amtrak train Station):
- Fridays, the shuttle service from the Pittsfield Intermodal Center to the lodging destinations in the Berkshires.
- Sundays, pick-up shuttle service from the lodging destinations in the Berkshires to the Pittsfield Intermodal Center.
There is a flat fare of $20 per person per ride to most lodging destinations in the Berkshires. Book your ride in advance (strongly preferred) or when you arrive in Pittsfield. (Based on 2022 numbers)
A wheelchair-accessible van is available on request (call for price, advanced booking required).
Public Buses
