This page features comprehensive guides to assist you with your Amtrak research and travel planning. The guides detail Amtrak Service by State. Please note that not all connecting services are included in every guide.
I intend to add more information as time allows, but I am waiting for the situation with Greyhound and FlixBus, which have reduced their services, to stabilize before proceeding.
How You Can Use This Amtrak Service by State Guide
This guide offers two functional approaches:
First, you can look up your state to find out where to start your journey.
Alternatively, you can explore a state and see where the train can take you. Please note that you may need to stay overnight in another location to reach your final destination.
Suppose you’re comfortable taking a bus or another Amtrak connecting service. You can enter your starting point on Amtrak.com (this feature is not available in the mobile app), and it will show you the nearest Amtrak station and its connecting services.
This Amtrak Service by State Guide is a Work In Progress
Writing a guide for each state takes some time, and I am actively working on it. I thought I would share what I have with you as I complete it, rather than waiting until it is all done.
States Covered: 29 of the 50 States plus Washington, DC. Progress will update as posts are published.
