The Great New York State Fair opens Wednesday, August 23, and runs through Labor Day, September 4, 2023.

Why Take Amtrak To The New York State Fair
Save yourself the tolls, traffic, parking fees, and gas hassle by enjoying a ride on one of the two Amtrak train lines that serve the Fair.
Amtrak Tickets, Discounts, And Where The Train Stops
You can purchase Amtrak tickets using the Amtrak website or app, Quik-Track machines at some stations, or call 1-800-USA-Rail. You can print or use your phone to show your tickets to conductors on your day of travel.

You can choose between coach and business class seating accommodations for most trains.
All the trains heading to the Fair offer free Wi-Fi for you to use.
Beware that you cannot stream with programs but surf the web, check email, and the like over Amtrak Wi-Fi.
If you get hungry, the cafe car carries goodies such as snacks, light meals, and drinks such as soda, coffee, tea, and alcohol. You can enjoy your purchases in the cafe or at your seat.
You can bring food and drink aboard, but you cannot drink alcohol you brought onboard and must eat it at your seat, not in the cafe.
